Spend two nights in each city, so that you can visit the most famous sights and attractions around these stunning Portuguese cities.


Start with Lisbon, the always bustling capital of Portugal! Lisbon is a colorful mix of the old and the new! Here you can visit several historical sites, such as the monumental Castelo de São Jorge, the castle built in the Roman times, which can be seen from everywhere around the city. If you want to feel the atmosphere of the traditional city, don’t forget to check out Alfama, the neighborhood which mirrors the old way of life with narrow streets, some typical old houses and cobble stone roads. Visit the São Roque Church and the Sacred Art Museum, where you will see one of the most decorated interiors in Lisbon. They may not seem so charming from the outside, but inside the church is a real casket. During the two days you can pay a visit to some UNESCO heritage sites as well! Visit the monastery of Saint Jerome and don’t miss the Belém tower, another UNESCO site from the fourteenth century. After the historical sights check out the modern cultural complex, Centro Cultural de Belém, where you can get some lunch, or a coffee after looking around the exhibition. After getting around Lisbon, move on to the next destination, Coimbra.

Within 2-2.5 hours you can drive from Lisbon to Coimbra, and get ready for more, amazing historical attractions. You can choose to drive on the the highway, or you can drive along the coast. During two days you can visit the great places in Coimbra, the wonderful churches, interesting telling ruins, and other hidden places. Pay a visit to the old and the new cathedral, to the Machado de Castro National Museum, to the ruins of the Convent of Santa Clara-a-Velha, to the old gateway the Almedina Arch, to the Botanical garden, and of course to Praça do Comércio, the main square of the city. After you’ve seen all in Coimbra move on to the last destination, Porto.

You can get to Porto within roughly one hour, if you choose the highway so you’ll have plenty of time in Porto for sightseeing, shopping, and to chill a bit. Portugal’s cultural wealth is really extensive, and Porto is a city in which you can discover countless historical attractions, important places, such as the Clergios tower, the Dom Luis bridge, the cathedral, the former stock exchange palace (Palacio Da Bolsa), the Cais Da Ribeira the medieval remains. Visit the National Museum, and the Serralves Museum as well. If you’re interested in parties, Porto is a perfect place for you! There are many fun night clubs in the city!
